Downloading a graphics driver while having a graphics driver.

At risk of sounding stupid, I am trying to download a more stable, early version of a Nvidia graphics driver, and I currently have one already installed, would I have to uninstall the driver I have now to install the other one? What would happen if I did uninstall the other one?

No the installer for the new drivers solve the problem for you, i think.
