Welcome to Trax 2, a remake of the original Trax, a short-running server you may or may not have heard of. The basic idea is that you run around a map with tiles that disappear after you step on them. This can lead to strategies where you can cut in front of people and they'll fall to their doom as there's nowhere to go. This time, the maps will be a bit more polished. One of the problems with the original server is variation. You would get bored with the map after a while. This time, however, I will be using BuildCycle to keep the game fresh. I plan on having at least 4 maps, but the more the merrier. Some will have special rules as well.

Original Trax: http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=245946.0
Rules:

When you spawn, a message will be displayed (You will fall in: 5... 4... 3... 2... 1... GOOD LUCK!). While the counter is ticking down, you can walk anywhere on the map to select your spawn position. When it hits zero, a firework will go off and the barrier is removed, dropping you on to the platforms. You'd better move fast, because they disappear after a mere second, and stay gone for ten. After that, it's up to you to run and jump across the map to either outlast or outsmart your opponents. If you fall, you die permanently until the next round. The last one remaining wins. After that, the map will reset, the bricks will respawn, and the countdown will begin again. After a certain number of rounds, the map will change.[note] Maps can have special gimmicks or even a weapon.
Maps:

Skyrise:

In what experts are calling "the most dangerous construction site in the world," you can dash across fragile grates to survive the longest. It's a pretty basic map, but the corners are very dangerous and there are a lot of jumps to be made.

More to come!
Planned stages include: Nimbus, Checker, Galaxy, Dodgeball, Blindness, and Towers.

Seriously, max. players at 8? I think you need to design a larger map and increase the max. playercount.

Then it gets kinda empty with fewer players.

Perhaps you can divide the walkway area into sections. At the beginning of each round, depending on the playercount, sections are opened or closed to adapt to the number of players and make sure it's not empty.
But in my opinion, an empty map with scattered players is better than not being able to become popular.

Also, I've seen the build, and it looks like it can accomodate more than 8 players.

I'll change it. I'm making some improvements anyway.

Do 12 first, when that fills bump it up to 16, then 20, etc etc
I'm not sure if it's my username, what I name my servers or what, but any time I host my player count skyrockets, and I attribute it to the fact that my max players is always low. I feel like people see that and think "something important, I should go see!"

or I'm just super popular

It's very hard for my BL servers to become popular although they are the same quality as everybody else's. Maybe it is because I'm not a well-known host.

This seems really well made and fun, good work!

make it use default add-ons please, that way loading would be quicker than lightning
of course enable those window prints for modter as well

I'll optimize it tonight. I didn't know what I would and wouldn't use.
