Author Topic: USSR Application(s).  (Read 5095 times)

Intro
Over the time retail has been out I have worked on several builds in the hope of using them to apply for USSR. Previously any such attempt would be automatically rejected due to the near unaminous negative opinion of me. However, over the past couple months I have really begun to act more mature in the Blockland community and am a much more experianced member. I hope that the newer, more acceptable version of me will be enough to make it into USSR. Each section below corresponds to one of four different builds that I hope to apply with. Included are one visible picture as a breif summary, a breif summary about the build in text, and a couple of other pictures to capture elements not easily described or shown in the main picture.

Nuvahlk Tower

This build was first started in a tower-build contest in a server. I eventually continued it where at it's current standing is 8'6" scale size and later I plan to make it even taller.

Rüsh'Kai

My first truely original building style, made to look Atlantian-esq, is used in this build where the over all appeance of the structures resemble ancient oaks. On closer expection, however, almost every pillar and wall likens itself to some spiritual being. (I plan to soon turn this build into a CTF build by creating another set of structures to accompany these)

Cosei Research Facility

The Cosei Research Facility is a massive subterrainian, futuristic, DM map that was inspired in part by Black Mesa from Half-Life. The build I have to admit is not actually finished, nor, with my current plans i have written out here infront of me, will be until i have about 3 months of spare time. However in its current state it sits at just under 10k bricks while being very large. This build is more of an experiance than anything, so any pictures I could possibly supply would never do it justice.

Chideo City

The first large city build of its type, this was done in a time before duplicator and thus took longer than it would nowadays. A main feature of this build is the roof-to-roof obstical course that takes you from the Blockcorp Animations building into the outlands of Chideo. The build was ended even though the outlands themselves are still incomplete.

I realise that my application for the clan is rather an interesting subject due to the fact that it is not really about my building skills as much as it is about how I behave. Personally I think, maturity wise, I'm ready to be in a clan like USSR and know that many others also acknowledge my current advancements in social interaction. Due to this, if I am not accepted on merely part that my building skills are not up to par with someone's expectations then I would like to be informed of this. However if the build would be sufficient if it were not due to some prejuduce onto me merited by how i have acted in the past, I would like to know this as well.
Thank you for your time and I do hope you will accept me into your clan.

I'm not in the USSR but I have your chideo city and I love to play around in ervery now and then, and I hope you get in with that one.

Rüsh'Kai:

where you make clone armies

I will discuss this with the others.

I like it i hope you get in. :D

Looks good, lad. Best of luck.

Rex

The city's skyline looks like winr.

Hope you get in <3

I really don't see the point in trying to get into clans... Waste of time methinks.

Meet new people, get respect, get into private servers theres lots of reasons. =D

Code: [Select]
if(%clanmembership == 1)
{
     %respect += 0;
}

It's a form of objective in a rather open-ended game.

Gives you something to work towards other than just building random stuff in random servers.

Perhaps.  It'd be nice to see some clan vs. clan building competitions.  The only hard part would be finding an impartial panel of judges to decide the winner.

Everyone could judge like American Idol, hehe.
Ill see if I could get some clans to compete, ill make a thread.
