Best way to clean an absolutely disgusting keyboard?

So, recently my old keyboard broke (ironically, because I was trying to clean it), so I switched to an older one, but this one is absolutely disgusting. Every key is covered in grime - you REALLY don't want to see pictures. What's the best way to clean it? An air canister won't cut it here.

I don't know if this is the safest idea, but you could try some q-tips. Maybe put some water or goo gone or something along those lines on them.

use post-it notes! (and use sticky side under so stickyness can grab the gunk)
