i could just spray it with a garden hose

actually that might work, i could pour dish soap into it then spray it hardcore with a garden hose, let it dry overnight so as to not fry the electronics, and tada

 - Scrub.
 - Rinse.
 - Pour in dish soap.
 - Blast with garden house.
 - Rinse.
 - Let dry before plugging in.
