I think that I am now compelled to become a lawyer

I just watched 12 Years of Slave, and wow it was just breathtaking. To think that such atrocities were just let alone is abominable. For years I've been very interested in ethics and human rights, and I think now I have a clue that I want to work with human rights or civil rights when I am older. In America and many other developed and industrialized nations we don't realize that the rest of the world isn't like us - it is far from us, actually. The world's problems will never vanish, but there will always be people who can fix some of our problems. I think that I know what I want to do when I am older now.

Has anything compelled you to be something or do something?

That sounds quite nice and  admirable, but I doubt this forum is the best place for it. Due to many reasons, i'm sure you already know.

I've always wanted to be an engineer and/or Lego designer. I've always felt like Lego sets could be way better than they are. One of the reasons I don't keep any of the stock sets together is because i'm dissatisfied with their overall look and function(s). I'm still debating on whether I want to be a military or civilian engineer. I just want to make things that help people and get rid of problems.

There are numerous Skateboarders who have inspired me to skate, but that's about it.

My mom is and I have no clue how she tolerates it.


I personally don't know what I'm gonna be yet.
Most likely I'll go into music or game design, but honestly there are a lot of possibilities for me.

I guess I got into music because of my parents putting me into it, it wasn't like one compelling event or anything. As for game design, it's just something that has always been intriguing and fun.

I really like building/construction and was really thinking about becoming a Civil Engineering and I still am but recently I've grown this passion for Kinesiology. I think I might study that in college and becoming a Physical Therapist or something along those lines.

I really want to be involved in video games because I see games as a budding new art form in need of creative minds to help make it much more intellectual than it currently is considered. Also, games technically saved my life, but because of the rather triggering details as to why, I don't feel comfortable talking further about it. Regardless, I'm not sure if it's what I want to pursue as a career though, but time will certainly tell. Artistic careers seem really risky to pursuit, which stinks because composing is like the only thing i feel that I am good at. That and public speaking.

I know, some people can't take the job after years of practice but if you really want to do it then you can put your mind to it.
