Server Music
by Zapk

Description
Global 2D music that can be changed by administrators via events/commands. Unlike other 2D music Add-Ons, this doesn't require a custom client mod or a music brick.
As an admin, do /music and a dialogue will pop up. Choose the song, and the server's music will change to what you want.

Players can also vote to change the song via /vm. This functionality can be disabled with RTB prefs.

Updates Since RTB:

  • Now uses Support_Updater.
  • Fixed many small quirks.

just a suggestion: you should add a server pref to disable the "now playing: [music here]" thing.

Sure, I'll do that right now.

Nice, I'll add this to Simon Says, now there's no escape from the music...

I've needed this thanks!

Did you fix the glitch where playing a song while another is playing makes them play forever (changing the song to NONE doesn't work)?

What?

That was an issue with Client 2D Music. This is server wide.

Version 1.4.0

  • Method of randomization is now simpler and faster.
  • Messages now use profile UI names, instead of raw names (what was I thinking)

I thought chrono already made this.

Chrono made a "2d music system", which required a client-mod and only worked via events. (iirc)

can you add an event, pref, or cammand that makes the music change every minute or so?
