What do you think?

Your neighbors are stupid.
You're just being oversensitive.
You're both at major faults.

Author Topic: Don't you hate your neighbor? [Prepare for text wall]  (Read 3907 times)

Well, the whole dog injury incident was your family's fault. If someone had their dog run loose on my property and my dog attacked it and then they came to me and asked for payment, I would tell them that they are an idiot and follow it up by having charges pressed. Maybe a fine will teach you to be less reckless.

Also, I seriously doubt that a legitimate noise complaint would be ignored by the police. Even if it were, there are proper channels to go through to get the officers punished as well. Based on the fact that you say you have called animal control and the police several time, it seems like your family is being the pests. The fact that your dad mentioning shooting his dogs speaks towards the legitimacy of this statement.

1. it wasn't my immediate family's fault. My parents weren't even home. Still unsure how my mom got a ticket though.

2. We didn't ask for payment. The neighbor volunteered and then went back on his word when we were lulled into security.

3. We have audio recordings of their dogs barking for hours, riding ATVs after dark, music, etc. At least one time, an officer went over there for that specific complaint. My dad got a call saying the officer just asked them politely to lay off.

4. Why the actual heck are we not allowed to complain several times if authorities don't seem to care? Do you live in some totalitarian society? We're free to complain if our rights our violated.

I feel really lucky that I have nice neigbours :/

After that horse barn thing I'd shoot the dogs and all when they enter the property, I'd have no mercy, those aren't neighbours, those are just plain starfishs

1. You could sue your grandmother if you want, but it is still partly your family's fault because they left your dogs in the care of someone who clearly couldn't handle them.

2. He offered to pay, and then he realized you were completely at fault and didn't have to. This is the way people behave.

3. What, did you expect the officer to arrest them for a noise complaint the first time that the officer goes to their house?

4. Sure, you have a right to call the authorities if your rights are being violated, but wasting the time of the authorities because your entire family seems to lack the social skills to get along with neighbors is not cool.

neighbors keep dying around here. it's a real shame.

and to le XR-7:
animal owners deserve to be in the poorhouse. when you're on the sidewalk begging for my change, i'll be sure to spit on you and your dogs.

p.s. i'm not a fan of dogs

Are you really seriously actually saying that its my family's fault that the neighbors are literally horrible people? They are aggravating us purposefully with their disrespect for our property and personal space and the authorities are unwilling to book a friend with fines so we're stuck in a pit that we can't climb out of.....with the neighbors standing at the top dumping water and rocks on us.

We've asked them to stop tens of times for multiple issues and they just get pissy and do it more. For some odd reason, its annoying to wake up at 5:30am to hear engines roaring up and down the hill and smelling horse poop seeping through our windows and doors.

I'm skeptical about how unreasonable they really are because the tide of issues between you and your neighbors comes from something that was direct fault of one of your family members. It seems to me like both you and your neighbors feel validating in being asses to each other.

I'd say just go up to one of them and use that air-soft gun or whatever you had?

That's not when problems started. Yes, it was the worst problem, but we've had hosts of others leading to that event. They went from being careless, letting their dogs in our yard daily where they caused damage and messes. Then the chicken attack happened and we buckled down on them. Their dogs have been in our yard literally hundreds of times. Our dog goes over there one time and causes no damage whatsoever, and instead costs of thousands. Rob then pops a ticket at us saying we let our dog run loose.

And you see no problem with that?

just because somebody volunteered to spray water around doesn't mean that all the cops in the county can just turn the other cheek from your oblivious crackhouse

I take offense to what you say. You obviously have never experienced what we do if you consider it simply "spraying water around." Now I don't agree with the cops looking the other way due to his occupation. However the actions of this cop do not represent the actions of all cops. It is actually the complete opposite. Ever heard of the state trooper arresting a fire chief on the scene of a highway accident because the chief wouldn't move the engine protecting his men? Police disagree with firefighters more than they side with them.

I'm sure you don't know that though. Have you ever operated a fire hose? They can put out over 100 PSI, They can knock a man over and go flying around a scene by themselves. And I can speak from experience after shooting these hoses the next day you feel like you got hit by a truck. Its a bit more difficult then your average garden hose. Not to mention going into burning buildings thousands of degrees when you can't see stuff through the smoke. Or how about rappelling down a cliff to rescue victims of a bad auto accident. Standing on the highway feet away from stupid forgets speeding past us at 70 MPH. Doing all this and more, getting paid under what we should be paid.

I'm sure you don't know about any of this though since obviously what we do is "volunteer to spray water around."

About 100 firefighters die each year trying to protect ignorant forgets like you, at least show a bit of respect.

I agree with the above. Don't take first responders for granted. Firefighters as a whole I fully respect, even more so the volunteer ones who rescue and help people just because they want to do it.

I live next to them too. They are horrible people and you don't know what you're talking about

This is prolly the dumbest thing i have ever suggested but, you could gey their dog to... nevermind.
