Author Topic: I'm moving to a new apartment  (Read 611 times)

One of my dads coworkers sent him a picture of a for rent sign in a neighborhood me and my parents favor to any in LA, and blahblahblah, now we're gonna move! 2 weeks, I think. My computers gonna be in my room this time, and I just can't wait because it is so nice and although its 1 story, its still about the size of my apartment now which is 2 story. I love it, and I can't wait at all!

ive always lived in an apartment and ive never had a problem with it

Yes, they do.
They're just expensive as hell.

Also, is your new place nice?

Not mine, since it's so small.

I've lived in both a lot
there are advantages and disadvantages to each
like with a house you own, you can do whatever you want with it. paint the walls, replace the flooring, sinks, whatever
with an apartment you can't do that stuff. but, generally the landlord or company that owns the apartments will handle repairs and yardwork

I also lived in a house that was rented once. it was basically a mixture of the disadvantages of both. we were responsible for repairs and yardwork, and we also couldn't do whatever we wanted with the house

Bought house != rented house.
Bought apartment != rented apartment.
Bought house == bought apartment.

If you buy an apartment, you can do whatever the hell you want to do. It is true that some buildings may add their own rules but the apartment is basically yours and you can do whatever you want inside of its boundries. In some countries, it is convenient to have a rented apartment rather than a rented house, bought house or bought apartment.

Uh, no, you can't do all you want in an apartment you buy.
