The models look okay but have funny looking in places. Although I support new content, these aren't exactly new. Unless you decide on adding some sort of game changing feature, I don't see anything marvelous about this.

Models aren't everything, the code is where it really counts.

Exactly my point with
Well, this time it's not as much about visuals as much as fluid gameplay with them, something I find lacking with all the other weapon packs that tries to be realistic.

However, I do want to know where my models look weird. Just saying "places" doesn't really help me at all.

Can someone actually post images? When I go to the site it doesn't show anything

hands?
Yeah
Please, for the love of God, be a little open minded about this.

You have to use chrome or firefox for p3d to work. Images come as soon as dren has gotten our sample ingame and takes some screenshots

ok it's not a forgetin function of open mindedness

you're deliberately pushing something that the community has decided is at best controversial and at worst an out-and-out faux pos and you're expecting nobody to say anything about it like the issue doesn't exist at all. further, you're pushing it in a way that implies you know people won't like it, and you know their claims are legitimate, but forget them because you do what you want

that's just not listening. people are not going to stop getting mad about stuff because you told them to stop getting mad about stuff. if that was the case then we would have no forgetin wars because every form of conflict or rebellion would be resolved or won by whoever says 'but you guys can't get mad, ok?' first

^ the forget are you talking about

o I didn't even notice the stupidly small text

it honestly only makes it more insulting

trying to hide the fact that you want me not to get mad and then are doing exactly the thing i don't want you to do anyway is even more infuriating. if you're going to fly in the face of my opinion or expertise don't forgetin mention that you're flying in the face of my opinion or expertise, there's no need to make a show out of you not listening to me.

Okay okay okay, obviously trying to avoid something just makes it come forth.

I know a lot of people don't like hands on models, and that's fine. Everybody has their own opinion. I just think that mentioning hands in the topic is too little to get hate when nobody has even seen how it looks the way i do it. Personally, I think I made it look alright, but I don't know yet, because I haven't seen them in action ingame yet, so it's a pending matter (though that's not something I have told anybody).

When I look at weapon mods with hands, I frown aswell, but not because it looks bad, but because it was done badly. Rykuta's L4D2 mod with yndaaa was done good, but at that point people were just waaay too ignorant about the hands. I think we've come a long way, and trying things out wouldn't hurt.

I might aswell make Dren have a toggle option in the (broken?) rtb prefs to switch between hands/no hands if the final opinions about the hands are split.

This looks cool, I might start with Blockland again. When I see these ones released. Excited.

i haven't read this page yet but i'll say two things:

1. I'm going to try putting the most origionality, variety and complexity as I can into this mod from my side. Obviously I can't change the models but I'll be able to make all kinds of game mechanics and ammo types if I so choose.

2. The ammo system will be toggable. The hands on weapons personally I'm not a fan of, that's up to Althar.

It's hard to make creative weapons when they look lile XR397-GENERIC-27-ARMY Rifles (now with more boring gray metal!) The models are good, but I could 3D scan a piece of stuff into super-high poly, hire the best modelers in the world to hand-tweak the model and give it perfect texture, normal map, and lighting, but it's still a piece of stuff.
