POLL: Gas stove or electric stove?

Which do you prefer, a gas stove or an electric?

We have a gas stove now, but we used to have electric. I don't like gas, especially since I often don't turn it on right and gas spews out of it and no flames.

I love electric ones and gas ones scare me with the whole being explosive if you leave it on to long and stuff

It's more fun/easier to cook meats on a gas stove,but I prefer electric when boiling/steaming vegetables

Electric. It has the possibility of being entirely clean, not to mention it's easier and safer.

Gas, because when you turn it on, it is instant and when you turn it off it is instant.

Electric takes a while to turn on and to turn off. Electric can seem more "modern" but in all honesty gas is superior.

Excuse me? I have almost been killed by gas related things more than once. Electric is a much safer way to go.

Gas is just a last resort type deal.
