Gas stovetops are awesome (but risky), but gas ovens are risky.
Electric stovetops are slow, but electric convection ovens are amazing <3
Gas, because when you turn it on, it is instant and when you turn it off it is instant.
Turning off yes, but when you turn it on, the gas stove has to ignite the stream of natural gas, which takes at most 2-3 seconds.

more efficient.
Hold your tits. Gas stoves get hotter quicker than the electric stoves, you get to play with matches and food made in gas stoves taste better than the ones made in electric stoves (Or maybe that is because I'm comparing it with a stuffty electric stove we used to have).

gas is good for when the power goes out and you want a grilled cheese

electric for certain things
gas for certain things but overall I would prefer electric. I'm in no hurry when I cook. (only sometimes, but when I'm really hungry lol)

um
no
it doesn't make any difference

Then it was the stuffty stove I used to have.

that wouldn't even make a difference
it doesn't matter what heats the pots or pans or whatever. all it does is heat them. they shouldn't have any direct effect on the food itself

gas stoves are just going to cause fires
electric all the way

all it does is heat them
How quickly it gets heated also depends. Food that gets heated too quickly will burn on the outside and stay raw/cold on the inside.

but that's not an issue if you wait for the coil to get hot
edit: kinda misunderstood but that still applies anyway. just put it on a lower setting and it'll cook slower

Always have gas

prefer gas too

Good thing gas works when the power's out.

i like electric stoves because i find them more convenient, safer, and cleaner. and they don't smell bad unless you're like my dad who accidentally left a plastic cutting board on the burner set to high. there was plastic on that thing for weeks and it smelled horrid.

if we want to cook with gas then we have a nice big gas fireplace that we can use. we've only ever used it to cook marshmallows though, but i think my sister cooked a corn dog over it once when the power went out.
