Author Topic: If you could go back in history, what would you change?  (Read 8344 times)

i would stop the scientific oppression in the dark ages.
I like how people believe Christianity held us back scientifically while ignoring all the scientific advances by the Muslims during that same time.
I would slaughter Jesus and his family as soon as he's born.
Holy stuff the edges on this one!

I'd travel back to the medieval ages and start a fast food chain duh

Take my sony smartphone back to year 2000 and show them the smartphone and be like "Oh look in 10 years you'll be holding this in your hands. I'm gonna make it so that you hold it all now" to speed up the civilization
This is also a horrible idea, because now instead of the people having technology that lots of people actually understand, they'll have technology that nobody understands, and nobody can replicate. You'll actually be slowing down civilization as a whole.

Go back in history and create a time paradox that means from there you could go to the future then go back in history then go to the future again then back again then slap someone then go forward again.

I'd just bring tech back in time to show off

but at the same time in my silly fantasy i'm ethereal and cannot be touched soooo

I would make sure Germany never forms, because it started BOTH world wars.
You are pretty ignorant. The first world war started because Austro-Hungaria invaded Serbia after Russia told them not to.

I am glad that non of us can time travel actually

90% of the forum doesn't understand their history or has learned a twisted form of it. :U

I'd kill Riddler before he invented poverty.

Give the Romans several advanced technologies and teach them how to build them themselves.  But nothing directly weapons-related.  If I advanced non-weapons technology fast enough to beat out weapons technology, we could maybe see steam-powered tanks alongside spears and swords.  And that would be, as they say, "fukken sweet".

But then people would just invent steam powered cannons and then people would eventually find gunpowder and then everything would just start as it already has

Darwin has a ship accident. He sleeps with the fishes and science doesn't evolve :cookieMonster:

Freaking hippis wanting to give everyone peaceful technology, gtfo and give them bomber planes, Rome is the real thousand year empire that Riddler only wishes he could make.

1935, force Britain to develop the jet engine

If I've learned anything from Red Alert, it's that Germany is the lesser of two war powers, without Germany, Stalin and his Soviet Union would conquer all of Europe unopposed. You would effectively be creating an even more horrible super dictator and cause WW2 to last beyond the 1960s.

Not to mention that Germany was merely reactionary when it "Started" both world wars. WW1 was just a game of alliances, but because France and Britain hated Germany for some reason, they forced it to suffer some pretty extreme losses as though it had instigated the war for funsies. So obviously when a dictator named Adolf rose to power, promising to get revenge and make Germany the super power it once was, you can imagine that this wasn't met with much resistance. France and Britain picked on Germany, and Germany 20 years later blew their countries to oblivion with bombs and blitzkriegs.
