CD key issue

This Is Meant for an admin to see.
I've Bought the game on steam installed it and was wanting to host a server wile playing the game and it seems i cant because steam API is being used by the game
or vice-versa
 
So Basically it Asks me For The Authentication key that i don't have
and i'm stuck and cant run a server i'm just here to request the key
i have registered my steam with blockland and such.

I haven't ever used the steam version before, but you could try checking your email as your authorisation key may have been sent there.

If not, contact support@blockland.us directly via email as Badspot (the developer) does tend to not reply/look at these posts.

The steam version doesn't have key authentication. Back up your saves, addons, and screenshots. Then reinstall.

You cannot create a dedicated server on Steam. Badspot overlooked it. No news on if he even plans on fixing that.

You actually kind of can but the thing is that you cant join it.

Right click blockland on the steam list click on properties and do set launch options and type -dedicated -skylands

that's it really.

No, because it requires an activation key. Steam users don't have a key.dat file.

No Let me rephrase The Server is asking for the  "CD"/Auth-key To connect to the main master server and i dont have it
but if i run the server through steam it works Because it uses Steam API Authentication to connect to the BL Main Server
however you cant run the game at the same time as for Steam API is being used and then the game will ask for the key and if you try running another instance of the game Through Steam its gonna say that its already running

i just need that BL Authkey to enter into the server Console

I can show proof of purchase through steam which shoulden't be necessary because i've linked it with my BL Forms and BL ID

Why is your game under Users\Username\Documents?
It should be (drive, usually C):\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common.

You know im not sure Should be running off My E:\ drive

Although for some odd reason its running from there

EDIT: Whelp it seems that the server is downloading the game there Not sure why
let me check something
EDIT 2: It Seems that the server location that is set is in my documents even though ive changed the file path

Steam users have no key and cannot run dedicated servers currently.

Also, just by the way, "-map" doesn't exist anymore.

Steam dedicated servers worked perfectly fine about 2 months ago.

Yes you can; it's very easy and I am running a dedi-server off of Steam authentication right now.
