WARNING: TEXTWALL AHEAD

The RaC PAP9 (Police Assault Pistol, Nine Millimeter) is a weapon designed around one concept: Giving police a rapid, battle-ready, on-the-wall-off-the-wall weapon. Designed to be handled by a small person all the way to someone who stands 6'10, the PAP9 is ready for any situation.

Expect for the fact that the original run, which is much more common, sucks.

Not all that glimmers is gold in the RaC, and the original run is the finest example. A company known for producing battle-ready, firm-feeling, high-quality weapons, the first run is the very bottom of the arsenal, to the point of the RaC pulling it from production just to address the major flaws.

First, the lack of proper sights. When the gun was first shipped, the only sights were a vague, non-adjustable ghost-ring on the front. The sight would break off due to cheap welding when the slightest pressure was applied.

Second; the flashlight. Mounted for police to be able to shine in the dark, there was one major flaw with it: It had a bad habit of exploding when you turned it on. Fixed as of the second run of the weapon.

Third; the magazine. Originally shipped with a cheap ten-round mag, prone to breaking, Police who used the weapon found themselves out of ammunition quickly, as the gun would eat ammunition without hitting anything. (See; four.)

Fourth; it was horribly inaccurate. Unable to put three rounds in something less than 200m away, the weapon was a gas-guzzler for ammo.

Fifth; the stock. When first shipped with the gun, was found to be made of a cheap pot-metal, and would snap, sending metal shrapnel in the user's face when firing for any extended period of time.

The only real saving grace of the weapon is the cheap and common round.

Soon after this first, devastating to the reputation, run of SMG's, the company went into a seeming panic-induced shutdown as they hunted down and fired every designer who had cut corners with the weapon, before re-opening its doors with the V2, which is what is pictured above. Called the STEN of the modern times, the PAP9 with fixes was soon adopted by police once again, turning the company a profit.
