He didn't tell his GF not to bring BLACK people to his shows or etc., he said not to bring her "forgetbuddies." This is a huge overreaction lol
I listened to the whole audio. He clearly and specifically said he doesn't like it when she broadcasts herself with black people in public.

Being taught to be tribal doesn't make being tribal an ok thing...
It's not his fault that he happened to be born to tribal family or someone that taught him tribal behavior.

Never said it was.

I could've have sworn he said something like "Don't bring Larry [Bird] into this"

Which implies it wasn't a racial issue. I could be wrong. Might be thinking of the wrong person.

He was upset how his girlfriend was taking pictures with players at basketball games, then uploading them to Instagram, and then he was getting calls from his friends such as "What happened? I thought you guys were dating."

u srs? if so, I have a p. different view on this.

Sure he is tribal but he has freedom of speech. Its illegal to use the audio tapes against him in court too (although idk why he'd go to court)

It's not illegal and nobody is pressing charges. He broke NBA policy and he's paying the price.

???

Freedom of Speech is protection from the government not allowing you to voice your opinion.
It does not protect you from being fined by an organization or kicked out because you are a tribal.

it's called freedom of speech,
you're a loving starfish and you're only fighting fire with fire when you censor other peoples opinions
not to mention the way they found out about it was questionable to

Freedom of Speech as claimed in the Bill of Rights. By the government.

Not by the NBA, an organization that is not associated with the government. It's a privilege to even coach the NBA.

And nobody is fighting fire with fire. They're shutting a tribal starfish out of a league that nobody needs him in.
I wonder why white people are always so keen on defending tribals with the "freedom of speech" routine when it doesn't apply here at all.

I don't see why people still think this is censoring someone's opinion
It's like you get in trouble for saying "forget stuff" in school, and you go "but its freedom of speech!!!!!111"
they're not arresting him. free speech means you can't be arrested for speaking your mind.
plus, it's against nba policy and most of the players of the sport are black
The way they found out about it is questionable indeed
anyway
wah wah he'll cry about it on his flight home in his Learjet and he'll moan about it on his ride in his Lamborghini, and he'll even complain the next day, on his private yacht.

He broke league policy and made the entire organization look bad. He deserved every bit of his punishment.

I do not understand how any of you people can defend this starfish.

-Ignore this. Didn't read title very well-

if freedom of speech was protected everywhere I could go and make a drama about all the things that are wrong with badspot and not get banned

Because they want to defend their own tribal thoughts.

Im not saying this from a legal stand point im saying it from an ethical one, firing somebody for having conflicting opinions is pointless unless they act on their thoughts
If youre going to twist my argumentto your advantage then you might as well say im tribal anyways
