What is unethical about punishing a tribal for being tribal?

What is unethical about punishing a tribal for being tribal?
because racism doesn't create problems, i guess.

yeah i'm not on the same page with you guys justifying Sterling. NBA can do whatever they want, cus they're a privately owned company.

Are you serious that it doesn't cause problems? Like...?

Im not saying this from a legal stand point im saying it from an ethical one, firing somebody for having conflicting opinions is pointless unless they act on their thoughts
If youre going to twist my argumentto your advantage then you might as well say im tribal anyways
I didn't twist it I explained why they can do it and giving a rhetoric as to why I think people defend it anyways.

tribal remarks are harmful, but what's worse is benefitting from the race you are trying to discriminate against by having a biracial girlfriend and a mostly black team, but not wanting black people to attend their sporting events?

What is ethical about the NBA, with a large following from african americans, allowing a tribal to define the integrity of one team. Better yet, who would let a coach be openly tribal towards black people so they don't attend Clippers games.

It's pretty illogical in terms or ethics and economics.

yeah not for you maybe

guys i

i literally counterpointed that in my next forgetin sentence

I misunderstood. Hence why I asked. I thought you were saying that you weren't on the same page as Sterling, not as your own statement.

Also, if the dude doesn't like blacks, fine, but what the forget is he doing in the nba then?
that's what my mom asked lol

yeah, don't want to spread that around. sterling's a bastard.

I think that this was ridiculous, 1st amendment rights say you can have as many ignorant opinions as you want. The real person who should be punished is his girlfriend for recording him, that's the real crime here. A lot of people are tribal, and you cannot stop their ignorant views. Donald never said the N word, and what he said really wasn't so terrible - it was just dumb. If someone said that they don't want white people at their game, rest assured the media wouldn't blast the person for their views. Now if I refer to black people as "black people", I am considered a tribal. What do I say then? It's weird how people get offended easily to the smallest things. If the players for Sterling's team were so offended, they should of left awhile back when they knew about his 'racial views'. Meanwhile, they stay and still get paid by Sterling.

if martin Luther king was alive today, what would he have to say about Sterling?

if martin Luther king was alive today, what would he have to say about Sterling?

He would probably speak up about it and call him "pregidious, a bigot, a tribal", you name it. MLK was just a preacher.

Please read back 1 page to see why the first ammendment doesn't apply in this situation.

1.Yeah you can't stop all racism but you can stamp out the people who benefit from whom they dislike
2.You don't get to decide what does and doesn't sound terrible to people
3.Yes it would get just as much attention it's just that no one actually says that because no one thinks that

And yeah I'm sure people would be offended if the coach of the Clippers said he didn't want any black people at his games. This wasn't small at all given his status. He was removed accordingly for being a piece of stuff.

yeah because he really says such things infront of his team, they probably found out when everyone else did
they'd stay and get paid because guess what, he's not the coach anymore and they are still getting paid regardless

I don't agree with you at all, nobody should be taped in their own home on what they say. What I say in the dining room should stay there. Opinions are opinions, and you shouldn't be punished for having one even if it's negative. I think the real piece of stuff here is his girlfriend. Regardless of what Donald said, he never said anything publicly - it was in his own home. There are a lot of tribals in this world, even ones who aren't white, are you implying that every tribal should be punished?

Fining him was a huge over-reaction in my opinion.
I agree that he deserved getting banned, but being fined is going overboard.
this is like fining you five dollars. it really isn't a big deal

also caribou remember when you said you weren't tribal bc I do
