The reason I chose to home-host is because my ISP has generally been very reliable and fast. Unfortunately, the recent network failures were
completely unexpected, and were not what Verizon usually is like.
The CPU fan failure was also quite random: I know this would have not happened if the system was in a datacenter, but would you seriously expect a computer fan to be the most likely point of failure? You'd get the same odds of it failing in a tower server in, say, an office.

That was last year and does not affect my current hosting service at all. And I did not actually "DDoS"; it was Okiver framing me for the second attack, just because I did the first DoS.
