I actually liked it better than Gurren Lagann, but mostly because I thought Gurren Lagann's ending was bullstuff and the distinct "halves" of the series were way different (preferred the first half quite a bit).

I guess it felt like it was a bit like a copout or that it was rushed, but then again a lot of series these days seem to have a hard time not doing that.
