Author Topic: is this normal  (Read 1594 times)

What's with you always making threads about, I'm sorry but, the stupidest things? Just calm down and solve your own problems sometimes

Looks like a normal delivery time to me...

"china post"

you're getting something from overseas. do you want it teleported to you?

whatever method you chose (presumably the cheapest one), it'll take a while. the last thing I ordered from Japan with SAL shipping took over two weeks to get to me.

setro why are you such a derp.

seriously its time we help him guys, this isn't healthy.

It's been said a bunch of times, but they're right.

Customs processing takes a long time. The reason most of your orders don't take this long is US-based retailers order the products from China and then once they receive them they put them up for sale. This product is not being sold by a US-based retailer, though, so it has to process through customs before it can go to you. In theory, your package could take up to 6 months to arrive. That's unlikely, though.

It's been four months since I ordered this sticker things for my guitar, and they come from China. Iunno if I'll ever see them, but yeah.

China.

It sounds like your package may have been seized for one reason or another. Maybe some Chinese opium lord used your package to disguise some china white.

bad move, that mic has been cloned by chinese companies, it's probably fake and sounds like stuff, only buy it directly from sony
like, wtf even is this thing. i looked it up and i can't even find who it's by. it costs anywhere from $3-12 and i don't even know what it is. Is it a microphone, a speaker, both? i've reverse searched it and found it listed under both speakers AND microphones.

found what it's a clone of:
http://www.amazon.com/Sony-ECM-DS70P-Electret-Condenser-Microphone/dp/B00006HOLL

this is such a chinese rip-off bootleg scam trap that i can't even believe you bought it. i'm sure that there are much better cheap microphones that pride themselves as being acceptable cheap microphones rather than pretending to be a more expensive one. and it just so happens to be 90% off the actual product! wow, thanks for the great deal sony!!

Technically speakers and microphones are the same thing.

International shippings are hard and a pain in the ass. I bought a camera from Amazon a few years ago, it took 5 weeks to get here and it stayed in customs until every paperwork was done. First, the item needs to exit China. Then, the cargo transport's papers needs to be valid. Then, FCC needs to check the item if it's an electronic device.  Then, the US customs needs to check the item's value and tax you accordingly. Then you can go pick it up or it gets mailed to your house.

off topic: it's estimated to start delivery on my birthday. it's not normal, it's amazing

You are only paying $8.50 for it.
It's hardly their most important package to deliver.

And you're buying it from another continent. It's got to be sent from whoever has it in China across that massive country to a shipping company, and then has to pass through customs, and then it has to sail across the Pacific Ocean, then go through customs in the US, then it has to be organised into delivery by the US, where it either has to be driven across a continent-sized country, or flown there.
And if it flies across the US to you, then it has to be picked up once again at an airport and re-organised again for delivery. And then it has to be delivered by a postman or courier company to your house.

You're paying a pittance for an unbelievable amount of travel and effort in organisaton.
I've waited 3-4 weeks for things to be sent from somewhere in the UK to get to me before.
There are entire states in the US bigger than the UK that it has to cross, let alone the Ocean and the rest of China.

i've actually seen reviews on it, it sounds really good
it's like 98% like the sony one

this is the equivalent of saying french fries and potato chips are the same because they're both made from potatoes

both techs are dependent on a transducer but the transducers are fundamentally different in design and tolerances

No they aren't. Moving a speaker generates an electrical current travelling in the opposite direction of input sound. Most modern headphones are designed to block electric current moving that direction, but on most older headphones you can plug them into your mic jack and talk into them.
