No, but that's what many people bring up in conversations involving the weather.

I am educated, which is why I said that in the first place. Global warming is something we came up with when we saw that the climate was getting warmer. But what many people completely and totally ignore is the simple trend charts showing climate changes in the past few centuries. Guess what? This "global warming" has happened before, in the past, when there was barely anything to emit greenhouse gases. Now, to be fair, I'm not saying that the these gases won't prove to be an issue and that they haven't affected our environment at all, because they have. But just not nearly as much as people seem to think.
I don't know if you've noticed or not, but global warning is mostly talked about on the news. The news just so happens to be one of the worst dramatizers in our society. Really, it's sad, making people scared and overreact for the ratings.
