Only legal way to get it free is to download the trial but other than that I can't say anything else or I'll get banned

Another thing is that I think Microsoft asks for you to sign up for an account to download Microsoft Office Trial.

Windows install disks should come with it...

I'm pretty sure you need to buy a key/CD for powerpoint, that's what I had to do. You can get all of office for ~$100 at best buy or something.

libreoffice, openoffice, and google's powerpoint are free alternatives if you are allowed to use them.

each of these options are free and can save PowerPoints that are compatible with Microsoft's product.

I recommend them if you aren't specifically, explicitly tied down to Microsoft's version.

Microsoft Power Point Viewer only views the powerpoint, it doesn't allow editing at all.

As long as it exports to .pptx or .ppt, yes.
If you're still unsure, Google Drive's Presentation stuff would have the best compatibility, you can just edit in-browser and view it in-browser.

microsoft office is 100 dollars if you have the money for it

I use LibreOffice as an alternative for Microsoft Office products. Works fine for me, haven't had any compatibility issues
