Hate this stuff. I can recall a few times that I was just about to fall asleep (def not awake but still barely conscious), and outta nowhere I hear this BANG, like someone shot a gun off right next to me. Spooky.

Wow, sounds terrible, and spooky.

Oh man, I just thought of something. ;-;

I sleep by myself in a room (like a man) at the end of a long hallway. For some reason we have those red EXIT lights at the tops of the doors in my house. And at night, the hallway is SUPER dark, almost pitch black, with the eerie red EXIT light as the only light source. So, if I ever have that, I would probably pass out from fear, cause I NEVER, NEVER EVER NEVER EVER NEVER EVER step foot in that hallway at night when Im in bed unless I absolutely HAVE to.

So yeah, that wouldn't be good for me. ;-;

I've experienced this before. I'm not going to bore you with the details, but in this one dream I was staring at this ugly, grotesque face on my iPod screen, and suddenly this demon voice and this incredibly loud thumping noise started coming out of my earbuds. I woke up terrified, still hearing that noise. However, it went away in a few seconds and I have never experienced it since.

I had something like this once

I had a dream where I was in my house and the sun was setting very, very fast for some reason, and the sky was purple rather than orange-ish. I went closer to my window and when the sun completely set this bolt of lightning struck in front of the window and this really loud noise raped my ears. In my dream I fell down in a fetal position and I couldn't get up, and I started hearing some gross laughing sounds as if someone was mocking me. I woke up in an instant and I was so forgetin' scared that I couldn't move.

Yeah happened to me before. Lightning. It's always when the sky is odd too.

I sometimes have dreams where I'm doing something normal for a while, then i suddenly fall really freaking fast and then I wake up

is this psychological or physical

something like this happened to me but turns out my dad was playing battlefield right next to me while i was sleeping

I rarely get this very high-pitched sound in my head. It goes away after a few minutes but I can't stand it.

Never had this. It sounds rather disturbing (for those experiencing it) and not at all pleasant.

I hardly ever have anything in my dreams that wakes me up suddenly or frightfully. Very very rarely I'll be awoken when I fall or crash into something in my dream though, but I think most everyone gets that.

Wow. I have this. I absolutely have this.

Or... at least I had it... but then, "...several attacks happening in a space of days or weeks, followed by months of remission."

In the middle of dreams, or when I'm about to fall asleep, or about to wake up, when I'm in that transitional phase, if I start to become even slightly aware that I'm dreaming, an incredibly loud screech would happen. It would be like a tone, or like some huge metallic scraping, or something like a Nazgûl. It's like the boss fight of tinnitus. Just loud, unforgiving screech. Sometimes I would focus on it, and make it louder, because I knew it was too hard to move my arms to jerk myself awake, so I'd lay there until I was completely awake and it would disappear almost instantly.

Almost every time it happened, it just meant I'd be awake for at least another hour, because I was afraid that going back to sleep would bring it back. But eventually I'd fall asleep without thinking about it and be fine.

i get this too. my father does too

I don't think I have this, but I do suffer from auditory hallucinations.
