i don't think i've ever had this, but I did have a similar thing once.

so a couple months ago we had 4 twisting funnels over the lawn of our neighbor and one of them just nearly touched down, but didn't

so one time I fell asleep on a couch in my living room, and in my dream i was woken up on my bed by one of my grandparents and said there was a tornado warning. the time in the dream seemed to be about dawn, but I couldn't tell too easily. I ran into the living room after getting dressed and looked out our back window and saw a tornado going through our field and towards us. I ran out into the backyard with my grandparents to try and get something but ran back in because it was too late. the tornado ended up going straight onto us and the place shook and i heard all this stuff breaking and groans from the metal n stuff.

whenever I woke up, for a couple of seconds my vision was still all shaky and I could still hear the faint, loud train-like noise of the tornado in the dream and panicked then fell off the couch

I don't think I have this, but I do suffer from auditory hallucinations.
Me too

Sometimes when I'm trying to go to sleep and I'm almost there I get the living stuff scared out of me by a loud bang which nobody else in my house hears.
I do suffer from auditory hallucinations.
i mean i have a stuffTON of auditory hallucinations and it's become a problem
i get really scared just to walk around the house because most of the hallucinations are moaning/loud noises

are you absolutely positive it wasnt an actual sound and just a hallucination?

I'm fairly sure there weren't explosions in my apartment building

I'm also sure there were never any bangs last night. Although something weird. I'm really paranoid and I get weird dreams a lot so I keep a light on in my room, a tiny lamp. Just incase I wake up panicking. And tonight my mom said she saw a "change in the light"... maybe that woke me up?

You should never sleep with a light on. It screws up your internal clock. You'll begin to get insomnia.

I, uh...

I once rolled off the top bunk and didn't wake up...

i've always slept with a tv on

oh no i have insomnia

I usually hear noises while listening to music or hear music in my head during the day but thats it

I myself do have sleep-induced hallucinations, but not like this.
  • There have been times where I have dreams where I wake up and my body is completely or partially paralyzed. These started after I first heard about things like lucid dreaming and sleep paralysis.
  • I've had experiences where I've felt that I was "floating" or "falling" while laying down, as well as a distorted sense of space at the same time.
  • There was one time that I only vaguely recall, and can't exactly describe with ease where I may have actually experienced sleep paralysis, and heard noises, including the cheering of a crowd.

sometimes I hear sounds that are playing through my head as if they're actually happening

like say I have a song stuck in my head when I'm trying to sleep, sometimes the lyrics suddenly get really loud; it goes from a subtle drone at the back of my mind to sounding like someone's actually there, speaking them to me

it usually only lasts a fraction of a second; it seems that once I'm aware that it's happening my brain says "oh whoops, that's not real" and shuts it off, but once in a blue moon I'm actually able to keep hearing things this way for 5-10 seconds at a time, its kinda cool

definitely not anything to be concerned about health-wise, I've had this my entire life

If I ever wake up in the dark from a really loud sound, I can still hear it for a bit.
Though the thing that pisses me off the most is that whenever I have a dream of something latching onto my back, I wake up uncontrollably thrusting for a few minutes.

I have this as well. If I ever think of a sound or song over and over again, I can sometimes hear it as if it's playing somewhere near me.

I've gotten this. And for some reason. I sort of like when it happens. Gets me up and moving.
