Author Topic: Is there an application like this?  (Read 644 times)

I'm needing sort of a tool that acts as a transparent overlay and can also have images loaded onto it. It also needs to have window priority so that it doesn't get overlapped when you click on another window

For fear of not getting the idea across accurately i made this

If that STILL isn't enough. People who use the Application GifCam would know what i'm talking about

Does anything like this exist or can it be done through some programming?

uhh rainmeter?

you would need to do a lot of behind-the-scenes magic to get what you're looking for though

Um. That would be a bad idea just having one area of the screen where you can't click on windows underneath.

Also is this in Windows or something else?

there's programs to keep a window on top if that's what you mean.

Its in windows

also the "clicking on other windows problem" isn't an issue. The app would still be closeable

would you be able to use it to size and stretch a transparent image over other active windows?

so you want something to act kind of like tracing paper only virtual right?

Why do you want just a random overlay with an image in it?

YES thats what i want :u

I'm using vertex editing in Skyrims Character edit. Because of the free range of that system I'm making characters that look like actual people. I wanted to add an image overlay so I could do it more accurately

i looked but i couldnt find anything for it either

but for now you could take a screenshot and use it as a transparent layer in gimp/photoshop/whatever you use

if you do find anything let me know cause that seems like a great thing to try

rainmeter can do this

except for resizing you'd probably have to do that yourself in an image editing program

I have no idea if there's applications that do that

I know what you mean though, the admin permission window does the same thing

I think I used to use ScreenMarker for some MMOs but I don't know if you could use images. It was basically like a transparent paint window that overlapped your screen and I used it to draw shapes around specific locations on the screen. Maybe see if that's what your looking for, or if not, search around for like "ScreenMarker alternative" or something.

Thanks guys, a lot of this input is really useful.
