why every page the buttons at the top light up white for a second then vanishes to purple right away? silly effect

cheesy design choices just look unprofessional. I really think you should keep them simple, like they were. and steve is also right about the glowing letters
Shh, it's not cheesy, it's a WIP. I changed it, look now, they're proper circles. Also, that's a shadow, and I like it. It's very subtle, and it fits with my theming. Simple shmimple - I'm sick and tired of everyone being all like, "Wow! Look at those amazingly arranged colored rectangles!" It was kinda neat at first, but I'm getting tired of it, and that's that. I'm using the box-shadow effect and border effects to make my website styled as I see fit - my artistic preferences are just different than yours. Please, people, learn to accept that. I'm actually trying to put effort into creating something nice-looking without it being a Windows 8 clone. Bear with me here, people - I'M NOT DONE YET.

I was planning on removing that, don't worry (I was experimenting with CSS animation). I just got caught up in optimizing the mobile version, so I never removed it.

If you're using PHP, you could make that effect only appear once every session.

do you have any goal of making music professionally?

Maybe I'm the only one, but this whole "gotta have plain bright rectangles and simple text" thing is getting old. It may be the "current look", but I don't want my site to look like every other site out there. I respect your opinion and all, but as I said before, this thread isn't about the design.
u talk shut bout ma minimalism il cut u

It doesn't matter what your design choices are, because you're not the audience of the website. The visitors are. Make it look good to the viewers, not you.

I get that, and I will - but let me at least find a design I want to try and stick with before you tell me to change stuff about it! Also, that's not entirely true - that's like telling an artist he's painting wrong because some people don't like how it looks. I'm also not going to base it off of what most of you on the forum tell me - that often ends badly, in some way, shape or form. If I want legit feedback on it, I'll ask people like my aunt (a graphic designer) and my friend who designs websites as his line of work, not people on the internet I don't really know.

"hey guys how can I improve my website?"

"SHUT UP IT'S PERFECT HOW IT IS DID I ASK YOU?"

"SHUT UP IT'S PERFECT HOW IT IS DID I ASK YOU?"
No, I didn't ask you. And I'm not saying it's perfect - never have, never will. Take your word-twisting elsewhere. I have also said 3 or 4 times now that I'm not asking about the design AT ALL. I'm only asking about features. Let me explain something to you.

This is a website that will serve the purpose of displaying my artistic works. THEREFORE, it will be designed according to MY artistic preferences - not YOURS. I don't care if you and a couple others decide you dislike it - I'm not trying to please everyone, that's impossible. But you're also missing (continually, might I add) that I said:

IT'S A WIP.

There, did you get it that time? I said I'm not done, and that I am still changing stuff; who knows, maybe something you suggested would appear, if you were patient enough to let me decide what I like and don't like. I'm actually considering removing the shadow from the title and menu text (which I've been considering for weeks), but you wouldn't know, because rather than letting me finish the look of the site before commenting on it, you had to go all gung-ho on me and call me out already. That's pretty much the same as saying a painter needs to change the color of a boulder in a landscape scene before he's even finished painting the boulder.

I have to wonder - why is it that half the people on this forum can't read a paragraph or toe fully to save their lives? Seriously, if you're not going to take the time to fully read and fully understand my responses, don't bother debating with me.

a feed from your facebook/twitter/instagram/blahblah posts would be neat

you could add a social media page or something and have them there
This is actually a good idea, kinda glossed over it last time, sorry.

Also, Steve, FYI; with the exception of the menu links glowing when rolled over, there is no more text shadow or blur. If you had read my posts, you would have understood that this would have happened on its own, because I was still in the deciding process and not once did I say that I wasn't possibly going to change it. That's the point of it still being a WIP.

Guys, the website's pretty much done, now I just need more content. Suggest stuffs, pwease.

For those too lazy to go to OP: http://lloid.pancakeapps.com

for the music page, I'd consider embedding the soundcloud stuff
click the "share" button on the page for the track, hit embed, and I'd use the first, bigger one, because it can easily fit in with what you've already got there
