im assuming you buy nzxt phantoms and thermaltake level 10s then. are you 12 by any chance?
he is lol
sorry, its not MLG enough for his clan meets.
I have an HDD for it.
for $31, its a decent deal, you'll need to buy a hard drive though
well 60 but w/e

I would not reccomend any desktop made by IBM after 2000. I've used 3 and they're full of proprietary stuff, they're underpowered, and they fail easily. Think pads are still nice, though.

thats the phantom

This is a SERVER not a desktop, the main issue will be due to the cooling systems it will be far too loud to use as a normal desktop. Trust me they're louder than you would expect.

Additionally, the site offering it for $31 will almost certainly not include the hard drive controllers or caddies, and even if it does they will likely be SAS (Serial attached SCSI) drives which are not the usual SATA or ATA drives. You'll end up spending more getting it to work than 2 or 3 regular desktops.

In summery nope.

SCSI drives work fine. I've never had a problem with an IBM SCSI and an NVidia SCSI PCI Adapter.

This is a stupid question but,

Can I get any other PC for under $30? I need it for my friend to be able to work on projects with me at my house.

I don't have any money spare to spend on even a $200 crap PC.

Tell him to get off his cheap ass and buy his own PC.
