I feel like if Google really is going to buy Twitch, it'll rip apart the community and revenue/subscriber systems and stuff and that would be awful. Hell Twitch was pretty much, for me, a safe haven from YouTube. I hope this is just a well-spread rumor. :(

Everybody hates it because google has quite literally shoved it down the throats of everyone who wants to use comments on YouTube. It's not bad, but the way google went about integrating it into youtube sucked major ass.

No they're not. Chrome is a pile of stuff, their Content ID/Copyright claim system is unstable as forget, and their sites in general are poorly built and don't make sense. The only good things Google's made is a search engine, email service, and tablet.

The ID system is automatic because nobody is going to check a million+ videos to see if they have copyrighted content in them. That's fine.
Their sites don't make sense? They are built poorly? No, they aren't. How does YouTube not make sense? It's also built good, but it has some bugs and theme changes every once in a while.

How does YouTube not make sense?

Problems with YouTube:

• Public subscriptions on your channel are displayed popularity first.
• "Watch it Again" section of the main page only shows videos watched multiple times.
• Never notifies you of anything comment-related by email.
• Impossible to set subscriptions as the default main page.
• Disputing a copyright claim doesn't notify any Google officials.
• Will occasionally disable video quality settings for no reason whatsoever.
• YouTube Rewind is pointless and just a reason for everyone famous to jerk each other off.
• Unnecessary worship of the .mp4 video format. I prefer the smaller sizes that come from .wmv files.
• Only reason for layout changes is "mobile users" even though there's a mobile YouTube app.

If needed, I can write another list of problems with Google in general.
