there were tank and planes on the tank battles. but loving gaijin took it out after the public release. It was INSANE fun shooting bombers down, then watching them fall.

Because there are significantly more players with good planes than good tanks (obviously) they decided to disable combined-forces battles until enough people have t4 tanks or something to prevent the grind being too difficult for too many people early-on.

Being raped at t3 by 4/5-man IL-2 squads Isn't the best fun, I gotta say.

so war thunder finished installing on steam and it downloaded something about 3 MB and i began playing, but after I logged in i got the critical error "Filed read error. Try to repair using the launcher.. [81110007]"

Can anybody help me with this? Maxwell said over Steam chat that I would have to install like a 3GB update or something beyond those lines. Also, list of things i have tried;

Clicking the gear in the top right of the launcher and verifying files - All it did was say "brown townyzing files." and completed, doing nothing nor helping at all.

Doing as the support website said - I couldn't even find the files, the cache file was inexistant and the WarThunder in documents was as well. Nevermind, I managed to find it and delete the Saves folder, but the problem is still happening.

I don't want to re-install this all over again.

The download became corrupt in one way or another, you're probably going to have to download it again.
