This isn't a problem at all if you have the five necessary brain cells to uncheck the adware companies insist you would enjoy.

i wouldn't suggest unchecking every checkbox when installing something, some of them are things that have to do with what you're installing

Adware can be the user's fault, or it can be installed with other programs. Manufacturers bundle it in, also.

now that's just unnecessary.
downloading unchecky takes like 5 seconds
unchecking all those checkboxes takes like 10 seconds
5 seconds saved :), but 30 seconds spent on arguing this point to you. :(

By downloading research from wrong websites;
By downloading a paid program for "free";
By downloading adware;
By a trojan you've downloaded;
