What a wonderful habit to start. You'll do wonderful in college!

it's not like i'm the most successful student anyways. i could post my grades but you guys would laugh.

Well no stuff, you don't try, you just say "eh D is good enough"

lets say you work 5 hours every day, in a week
5 hours every day is full time. You're not going to get a full-time position at McDonalds, except for a management position, which you're not going to get before starting as a lower level worker first
Also I think there's labor laws saying you can't work every single day

Whoa, whoa whoa. The average McDonalds Employee in Argentina gets paid $10 Ars per hour. Now, lets pass that to USD.
$1 USD ~= $12 Ars.

You'd need to work like a mule to get enough money to pay rent, taxes, transportation and food/drinks.
Assuming you live in a $300 rent apartment plus another 400 for groceries every month plus another 100-200 for water per month (unless your apartment includes utilities) plus 150+ for electric (unless your apartment includes utilities)
You'll be paying 800 MINIMUM and depending on your state's minimum wage that won't cut it

But that's assuming you live by yourself, but that shouldn't be an excuse to slack off in school

Just because you aren't the most successful student doesn't give you the freedom to slack off. If you're going to scratch your balls in school, the least you could do is work on something you like to do such as programming, drawing, carpentry, etc.

Minimum wage applies only to those paid monthly in Argentina.

What
My apartment is $835 for a really stuffty 2bedroom. Even my dad who lives in a smaller town with a much lower cost of living pays over $700
Who the forget spends $400 on groceries for one person. I can easily get by on 100-150 for two people
100-200 for water? What do you think he's going to do, buy bottled water for everything? Water is usually included in apartment though
$150 for electric is a ton as well

My apartment is $800 USD per month, I've spent 150 USD on the electric bill last month (9KW), 53 USD on the water bill and 2,3 USD on the natural gas bill. And ~500 USD on groceries for a family of 5.

keep in mind Argentina is in more poverty than the United States.

The prices for utilities are like that here, and the groceries I messed up there
My point is you probably won't be able to live normally on low wages like a fast food place

Assuming you aren't trying to start stuff with me, what does that have to do with anything?

poverty = inflation, usually

or the other way around

There's been inflation here since I was born. It was 1-2500 in 2001, 1-3 in 2007, 1-5 in 2012 and now it's 1-12.

you're just proving my point.

Actually the utilities are pretty close for a 4 person household which is what I believe you're in
But we're discussing living on his own

I wasn't disagreeing

you're just proving my point.
This isn't even relevant because prices are just as high everywhere else
The US has inflation too

Explain to me how the hell inflation has anything to do with what we're discussing.

and i won't be living alone out of high school, because me and a mate are getting an apartment for college.

you're putting all this utility and living stuff into Argentinian perspective.
