Author Topic: Would my AMD Radeon HD 7540D age well or should I upgrade soon?  (Read 1203 times)

It's a graphics card. I've been able to play blockland on high shaders and many valve games with good settings. There are many "next gen" games coming out and GTA IV is pretty slow (though it's not really optimised well in the first place) so I was wondering if I should get an upgrade to be able to play these.

running valve games at good settings isn't much, any other games?

FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage runs pretty nice
Starbound runs fine.
Minecraft with its crappy optimisation runs fine too.
Moonbase Alpha runs nice
Gamecube roms on Dolphin are a little slow but are still playable

im pretty sure this argument has been had on the forums somewhere else but

does this count as piracy?

If you want to play these "next gen" games, you probably should upgrade your card. You maybe would be able to play the less demanding new games but the more demanding ones, will probably take a hit on your FPS.

How much FPS do you get on Minecraft at max everything?
