Author Topic: When will there be a big update again! D:  (Read 5130 times)

well there are a bunch of things that aren't broken but could be updated which would have a nice effect

for one, if you could use the playThread function with images it would help using animations a ton and you wouldn't have to deal with a lot of the reloading problems that hands+reload weapons have

and if badspot could make an optimal way of allowing floating building then it would facilitate a lot of building where you wouldn't have to place in a ton of stuffty invisible bricks or use zones

All I care for at this point is vehicle physics. There's not a single decent racing vehicle/mod.

What about support for scripters? You all are forgetting about it. We need an easy encryption library, Gzip file compression, and a way for hosting services to authenticate Steam users. But you want some stupid hats.

Why not? the default hats are getting dusty.

I dont really like having the hats as our next update. Kinda seems too empty. We need tons of bug fixes along with the hats, prolly what baddy is doing right now. He prolly made hats overnight and is just now getting started on some bug fixes. But we should be gratefull for any update baddy gives us. I mean, would you want to update a game only to have every one complain about it every single time?

I'd love if we got a feature update, but I'd even be content with more bugfixes and stability patches.
-Cornerjumping
-crouching getting you stuck in places
-low bitrate cap causing lag even if the server should be able to handle more.
-ghosting taking too long
-no dedicated saving script (have to ghost everything to save everything)
-randomly freezing during downloading files and have to hit esc and rejoin (is this just me)?
-the tumble respawn crap
-this half-assed, rushed, disgrace of a slate port
-vehicles driving through cubes
-small players flying through cubes
-steam users unable to use their key

these are just a few bugs i came up with in 2 minutes. i'm sure there are many more that i could find, but i'm not playing the game right now.

No

OP tripped me out when he said there haven't been any major updates since 2011. I was like, "What the forget? We've had shaders for 3 years? No way!' In reality, we've only had them for 9 months.

OT: As far as I'm concerned, the last big update was version 9.

-steam users unable to use their key
cant use something you dont have

If anything, it should be physics.
IIRC Badspot, or some other developer, said that the vehicle physics thing is a networking issue and can be somewhat fixed, but not necessarily on their to-do list.

how the forget is vehicle physics related to networking. Lol.

I love your posts, youre such a badass. Also that glitch where  a vehicle gets stuck in the ground and bounces up and down while running away

I meant more towards vehicles flipping out and glitching a whole lot more in multiplayer than singleplayer, not physics being forgeted in general.

Like, two cars hitting each other in singleplayer reacting somewhat normal, yet in multiplayer they'd probably become the first cars on the moon.

More interpolation!

Also, heed, you aren't the only one who has the freezing issue. :/

I don't think there will ever be a version 22.
b-but the hats!

they're important, right?
