This is just terrible, people need to learn that it's not complexly about how well developed one's lexicon is or how many statistics you can interpret but it's about really reaching out to the people in a way they can understand. Unfortunately as long as white privilege is ever present in our society its tacit implications will continue to influence people's opinions on the correct method of making an argument.

Yes, I've read of a lot of the ways modern Africa is exploited.

It just goes to show how they really are the inferior breed of human on the planet. They have never been able to move beyond their savage beginnings and for as long as they exist they will be dominated by the superior civilizations of the world.
