Create a way to replicate the sun's environment on earth safely so we can have safe nuclear fusion.
Create a way to produce graphene at a much higher rate than is currently possible.
If these two things can be done, power will be cheaper, the environment will be much better off, electronics will be revolutionized, robotics will take huge leaps forward, structures and building materials will become much stronger, etc, etc.
