Author Topic: So I was just sent this on skype.  (Read 944 times)

While I was chatting with a few friends on skype, I got a random message from a person that never talks to me.

If you get a message like this, i would HIGHLY suggest that you do NOT click it.

Virus Total Results

The message spreads thru means of skype it appears. Its like a new generation of the Outlook infected messages.

Nothing happens if you click the link ...? You gotta execute it for it to do anything.

Obviously, thats why i said not click on it.

it doesnt work if you have an anti virus

I tried and its another annoying trojan that sends itself to your skype contacts

Heres the way this virus works.

The source account of the virus adds random people on Skype and sends them phony links asking something about an old image. They send you a link to the so called "Image". It downloads a .ZIP folder and when you extract it to see this so called "Image" it'll launch the virus and it'll hijack your Skype account. Then it uses your Skype account to spread the virus further, And further, And further. I've had one of my friends get the virus and I got the message every hour of everyday. So I decided to remove him.
