I know it used to be a friendly joke, but personally it's getting overused to the point of annoyance.

Give us a normal number; or simply leave it out.

It might be a minor issue, but it is a ridiculously stupid fad that has been going on for ages. With some users who repeatedly do it (e.g; Markey).
There's no need for it in the very large majority of cases.
Very few of these topics are actually the second version of the topic.
Some of the topics have been done so many times that no one actually gives a stuff what version it is. There's no need to write any version with it.
Some people are posting Version 1, which is even more pointless.
An awful lot are from poorly thought-out forum games.
Any time someone uses it to put in words they're just being particularly stupid.
And a large number of people are posting a version  just to take parody of the fact that other people are posting versions (e.g v.idk, v.Idontgiveacrap).

Fine, if people want to do it. But it's really not smart and it just seems to make your topic stand out as one of the stupider ones.
This isn't a new thing either. It's been happening for over a year now, at least.
The ones listed above are just those taken from the last 3 months (plus older popular topics)/the last 60 pages of Off Topic.

i dont have a problem with false numbers, its just the fact there are numbers

if the topic was made in the past and it died, it died for a reason. stop filling up the forum with the same topic every few weeks
