i still don't understand

Well, this went off topic quickly.

i still don't understand

its basically a protest against government surveillance on the internet. It's a good cause, and all of the major sites are in on it, including google.

so they're doing it by completely shutting down the net or are they just shutting down their sites

still would really like to know what "privacy tool" i could use

The sites -_-. You can't shut down the entire internet.

Tor. Just search it.

m8 r u fukin kiddin me

shutting down your website for 24+ hours does nothing other than annoy people who go on it

still would really like to know what "privacy tool" i could use
try that little red x in the corner of the window. it works effectively at making sure no government can spy on your actions on the net.

i think this is it
This is a splash screen to put on your website, not a private browsing tool. If anyone wants to be on this, search "Tor" on google. Should be the first link.

i don't think the NSA will care if the website goes offline for 24 hours
like really they won't get any message other then "WE'LL ATTEMPT TO GET OFF OF THE INTERNET FOR A DAY TO FIGHT AGAINST YOU!"

i cant believe the NSA was created anyways

if google goes down does that mean youtube goes down with it?

if it does then i will be forced to...
go outside

google has APIs and stuff that tons of other websites use. it'd break a ton of other stuff if they turn those off as well
