You are in a dark room.

look for a light switch

throw up your flashlight

Because you are completely alone, practice your favorite special interest inside.

look for a light switch
You feel around for a switch. You trot 10 paces to one side of the room and hit a dead end. You trot back 20 paces and hit another dead end.
light a match
!!
You try to find a match in the darkness. You investigate yourself, and check your clothes. You find some small, rusted metal rectangle. It is a lighter.

The lighter illuminates the room. The room smells damp- some mildew coats the concrete walls where the red and tan paint has peeled off.

You are wearing some kind of brown cloak over you. Underneath are tattered trousers and a shirt made of rags. The room is around 20 paces long and 15 paces wide. On the shorter side is an iron door, but it is too far away for you to investigate it thoroughly.

try to walk to it
if it doesnt open, search for a key.

You move up to the door to investigate it more closely.

The door is decaying. While at some point the door may have been iron or even steel, all you can see is rust. The watch latch in the door is rusted shut, the hinges are rusted shut, and the lock is rusted shut.

Despite this, it looks like you could crack the door open with some effort.

loving DROP KICK THAT stuff

Pick up your right knee, make your most tribal Asian screech, and CRANE THE forget OUT OF THAT DOOR.

Take off your clothes and set them on fire

You indiscriminately smash the door with your foot, wasting all of your energy in one concentrated smack. The door gives way a little, but stops short of fully opening. However, you did manage to open it just a little. Your reward is a single, lonely ray of orange sunlight. The sun is rising.

You put your foot down, and feel a searing pain in your ankle. You can probably limp out of the room if you manage to get the door open.
