Of course minimum uses opengl too.
Could have sworn a few people said that Minimum actually works on theirs without OpenGL. Anyway, considering the nature of how it performs compared to the higher settings, since minimum produces no actual shadows and just shades the area, while the higher settings actually produce shadows, so it was a valid guess at the time.
