Dis guy!

Passed the exam with a perfect score and now trying to find a job related in the field. :)

Cook... I know it's a bit awkward to pronounce, it being a german name and all.

A+ =/= PC Pro.

I found the PC Pro certification easy, and don't think it'll carry well in the field. I mean, the bottom 40% of the scores are still passing scores, so it's not entirely reputable.

But still, congrats. I'd recommend taking your A+ exam now.

looks like a degree mill to me. I can't find any legal reason why you need this certification to fix people's computers, and testout.com offers a 'Comptia A+ certification' exam for over $100 more than the website that makes the test/offers certification (comptia.org)

I think you got scammed

you look like ryan gosling

good for you, mi amigo. get some money and escape the blf nerd purgatory

I did this through a free BOCES course.

Yeah that's the harsher way to put it.

Also I think just the fact that you can take the exam in an unofficial setting, with the potential for no monitors, on any old computer that you could cheat off of, tells you it isn't that great.

We had a test proctor and everything. Like I said, I did it through BOCES (Board of Cooperative Education Services) in their Finger Lakes Technical Career Center division.

I'm just saying, I wouldn't rely on that certification. Go after the A+ and you might fit your foot in the door. Network+ too, they're universally recognized, vendor neutral certifications that cover all the basics of the field.

I see where you derived your name from.

Next year is my CompTia A+... because I have to take nettech to do so. ._.
