Author Topic: Control VR Kickstarter  (Read 1158 times)

I have no idea why this thing is not being backed a ton. I mean, this thing looks like it'd be crazy fun to use with the a VR headset.

Currently has $186,507 out of $250,000

Ripped from the above link:

"What can I use it with? -  EVERYTHING YOU WANT

Control VR was designed to be versatile and used with a variety of operating systems and platforms. The development kit comes with more than 10 free applications for the PC as well as an open source SDK for developers to create the applications of the future with Oculus VR, Google Glass, Unity, Unreal, Autodesk software and even the Parrot AR Drone!"

I just felt like bringing this up to you guys, I want to hear what you guys think about this.

it's probably because the only things that get funded on kickstarter are 90's nostalgia and pixel-art indie games

that's pretty cool though. i would love to develop an ASMR thing for the rift so i can really get in the zone.

Yeah, there's so much that'd be cool to use this for. I'm definitely going to put some money into this.

Support this, people.  The guys behind this really care about the project and the people that will purchase it.

This + Occulous Rift + Virtuix Omni. I want to see all of these used in the same game.

yeah sounds OMG A NEW SHAQ FU THAT'S SO FUNNY CUS iT'S AN OLD GAME

Haha brandon from node is part of this. Cool.

yeah this seems like it would basically have the same effect as the oculus rift

its really cool and awesome for like 3 weeks, then it just becomes kinda a pain to use and is really only fun to show to other people
i have the oculus rift and the razer hydra. honestly with the combination of them its like 12 cords flying all over my desk, and its pretty frustrating. not to mention you feel constrained while playing with it.

I only want a pink spandex suit VR device.

I dunno, man. Have you seen Star Citizen?
(Old, but here's there old KS page)

You can pledge $6000?

I wonder if anyone will actually do that

that's even worse than microtransactions

Funny enough, people bought this... Don't get me wrong, I'm actually waiting for this, but I don't spend $15K on a game
What's even worse is that all the ships that you can buy in the store can be bought through the actual game's credits (UEC) which are supposed to be easily earned in game but you can buy those in the store as well. WHAT?!?
