I found an article from a Pet poison hotline
Apparently they say the darker and less sweet the chocholate, the more dangerous it is
So lets take White chocholate, milk chocholate, a chocholate chip cookie, and some M&Ms, and bakers chocholate
According to the Darker = Badder principal,
Some White chocholate wont have any serious effects
Milk chocholate will have some more effects but shouldnt be too serious
Dark chocholate is something to worry about
1 or 2 bites of a chocholate chip cookie, as long as its not dark chocholate could be a bit dangerous
M&Ms have milk chocholate so try and hide them from your dog
Now Bakers chocholate.... if your dog eats any of this stuff, haul his ass to the vet ASAP

heres the article

Berate your brother who was too idiotic to understand that there are just some foods that humans can have but other animals cant
Make him fear doing anything stupid

M&Ms are milk chocolate I think
Anyway we made it through the night with no incident so it all seems okay
He hasn't been breathing weird or acting too sick so its probably okay

well you're gonna get more chocolate than you started with---

no but seriously although things may seem alright you should really see a vet now that it's uhh
day-ish
if you tell your parents that your dog ate chocolate they'd probably hear you out.
but as people said if it was milk chocolate then he might be fine

he should be fine if it wasn't dark chocolate. my old dog used to eat M&Ms for no reason sometimes and the only reason she died was because of old age

Wikihow says to give your dog a teaspoonful of hydrogen peroxide to induce vomiting. Even if he already vomited, this may help get all of the chocolate out of him.
It also says to bring your dog into grass. Dogs apparently eat grass whenever they eat something not suitable for their digestive system. That also induces vomiting.

there isnt any chocolate left in him, he threw up 5 times and now the entire house smells like vomit and candy
on the flip side he's runnning around and is completely fine at the moment, so I guess we'll see how long that lasts

If its morning you should probably take BIM to the vet to check him out

if he threw it up almost right afterwords then he's fine.

chocolate only has a negative effect on dogs if they metabolize it, which means he would've required time to at least partially digest it.

luckily your dog isn't stupid and his instincts kicked in telling him to empty his stomach

whatever small portion could've been left to metabolize will just give him an upset stomach at the worst.

thats what it looks like, he's just been sleeping all day

wash it down with milk? ya, go to vet
