I (Polywater) have seen our names thrown around a bit. "The veterans of mini empires," "the pros," such things like that. So here's a Gallery topic that has been requested a whopping one time.

Yeah, Gentoos is some good stuff.

Yeah. Gentoo's server is your best bet for a civilized MERP

Yes, a lot of mini empires stuff ends up being chess piece type deals. Gentoo builds jaw dropping MERPs and you never see anything in gallery. That's because it's just too minor to post.

We'll let most people in. The reason they're passworded is they usually get clogged up with bad spammy stuff if we let them be public. It's also kind of a stupid-proof system. You can probably PM Gentoo (Fruit on BLF) for the password if you want to join.

If you look at us on the server list, we're usually in the top three in brickcount too, so we've got that going for us.

rather than post my own topic I figure I'd just toss up some of my ships that I've made recently

NASA shuttle I made (first legit MERP spaceship I ever built)
ARTANIS VII, the first "mothership" I ever made (later dwarfed by Krake-3)
outline of the Krake-3, primary cannon and stabilizers in place
Krake-3 as of 11:00pm EST 6/10/14
Some of the smaller ships I've made to go with my dup-plate (Wenigo, Cikkata, Snike, Fawlken, Rabe, Drakken. Escape pod, repairship, light fighter, medium fighter, medium stealth ship, heavy fighter respectively)
Some experimental cannons for a battleship (also mothership-tier)

it's a mock RTS RP thing with turn based combat
at least thats how we play it.

there's also sometimes lots of arguing but we won't get into that

also this topic should probably just be a megathread for mini empires in general cause there's been so many topics about it that die after 3 days

Pretty much what Kiwi said. The way it works on Gentoo's server is that we play a real-time RP game the majority of the time with combat being turn-based. It's a pretty half-assed system if you ask me but I have nothing better.

AdinX - I'll get you some pictures of the Centella (that ship on the far left) in a moment -- I'm working on some more stuff on my server at the moment.

Problem with that is that we'd end up with a lot of the public server garbage in here that not a lot of people like. I'll consider that, though.

It's a pretty half-assed system if you ask me but I have nothing better.

I've been trying to work out a way to utilize VCE, relays and bricks to create an advanced combat simulator. Perhaps if we gathered a few of the bigtime MERP players together we could finally work it out. Really it boils down to how do you determine damage output, damage negation (shield/armor) and buffs (if you even do consider them. I personally allow all builds, but I buff good builders by 10%)

And why not? They're good builds. He's given credit to the builders, explained it all, etc?
