when are the weeklies, again?

i might try and get my parents to let me use the television for the time being sorry i'm stupid i can just use the gamepad
also if someone uses a custom move they should have to tell everyone so they can't keep them secret and throw others off with it, like don't use ganon's warlock punch the entire match and then when they're high percent come out and use the warlock lunge unexpectedly
saturday 6:30pm EST
also i don't think you understand how custom moves work they don't change in the middle of the fight

If only 3DS...

*intense nudge*
i have both but too lazy and incompetent to host one tournament let alone two
perhaps if there's more interest we can get an after-event going for 3ds people since some people have both (like myself)

does anyone want to spar on 3ds? ill post my fc if someone wants a REAL FIGHT

"No, don't counter me! It's almost like you read I was going to do an attack and you only had 25 frames to do it!"

i understand perfectly

what i'm saying is, say i pick ganon and equip the warlock lunge which goes off MUCH faster then his default warlock punch, no one is going to know i have lunge equipped so they'd be ready for a punch, not the lunge, which could be abusable

a better example would be his flame choke replaced with the one that does damage as it goes, they'd be ready for a grab but instead just get hit a ton

to be fair though everyone can do custom move mixups and the gimmick goes away after the first use

that's y i'm saying if someone uses a custom move they should have to tell everyone in the steam group thing

could win the match by pulling a trick like that and just keep doing it to everyone, ofc it only works once on someone but no one else would know

that's one of the advantages of customs
i can't force people to give away all of their strats, the most i could do is ask them to say 1111 if they're default or whatever, but i'm not gonna force people to tell what could win them the game
part of playing this game is adaptation

what

i'm not saying to 'tell strategies', i'm saying that they should have to tell everyone what custom moves they have so they can't pull some bullcrap like jumping off the edge and using wario's inhaling chomp because they won't know he has it, it wouldn't be fair at all.

how is it in any way fair to do something like that, if someone uses a different move everyone should have the chance to know 'ok so he might do x so i should watch out for that' like it would be for picking ANY character with a default moveset, not 'ok i lost because he kept x move hidden and would have lost easily if he didn't pull it at the end'

you wouldn't have any time to 'adapt' if it loses you the game right then and there

i feel as though if you lose one match out of a set because of a custom move that you're doing something wrong in the first place

the problem is most people wont have custom moves or even know what to expect from them since they've never encountered them before.
