k thx sellin everythin

As Pie said that put them under the impression that you should be paid for doing something, kids need to learn early that you can't expect to always receive something for helping. Yeah you can pay them, but don't do it for everything they do.
I don't recall saying parents should pay their children for everything

I do recall saying parents should use chores as an example of how to earn and save money

Have your parents do a garage sale. Sell some of your stuff.
Garage sales are more of a "look at all this stuff we have to get rid of" than "I need money" cuz people expect garage sale prices to be so low

This. Unless somebody is just being rash, you won't likely get more than $25 at the most for all those Nerf guns.

Actually, you should expect to be paid for doing something. My time is not charity. Unless it's very clear that I'm volunteering to help for free, I expect to be compensated for my labor. I'm not making a comment about chores in your house, I'm more talking about how the world works outside of your house, where the 'lesson' would be applied.

No I mena like seperate prices for each. Im thinking 10 bucks for the big guns and 5 bucks for the small guns, 1 for the laser pointer and 5 for the kendama.

but really, who besides a 10 year old wants nerf guns.
