People can't stay in the server if you changed the terrain file in your mission and gave the .ter the same name.
Outdated .ter error.

Never save over .ter's if people have visited your server with it; always use new names.

but....even if I don't change the map, they get booted..

If the player has a .ter in their Missions folder with the same name as yours, they get error after Loading Objects.

Now I have a big uh-oh: sometimes my internet just goes out, and I have to re-connect, but not just blockland, EVERYTHING!! and everyone gets booted!

That's your internet, not Blockland. There's not much we can do to help with that.

And people are still disconnecting, despit it being a fresh install in a new directory? All I can say at this point is that your Dial-up sucks, and to try to get a real connection. Hosting on dial-up is always iffy, and not the preferred connection to host a lot of things.

Dial-up sucks. Man up and get some kind of cheap DSL of some kind.

Yeah, and every time I start blockland, my internet goes out!
