Author Topic: I'm installing Win 8.1 - what should i do first  (Read 1787 times)

I'm not having any issues so far

I uninstalled every single app because i will never use them

and on the plus side, the directx thing i was testing works perfectly so i'm going to have a lot of fun with that

it prevents you from having more than one application open at a time. For example: You are using a desktop browser in an attempt to send off an e-mail, one of the e-mails requires that you find a specific file  to read it, rather than having the window on the side open to find it in a matter of seconds, you have to completely stop what you're doing go into some magical Search app, then find the file, open it, read it, then close out of it since you cannot view it simultaneously, and send the e-mail.

you smokin crack?? i have many applications open RIGHT NOW

It seems a lot of people who hate win8 are just used to 7. It takes time, but you get used to it after a bit and it ends up being really smooth and fun.

I just got 8.1 on my desktop (migrated from 7) and I like it much better, everything about it just seems smooth and fast.

Hold the forget on, not only did I not know it was released, but also how to uni-discount? Is it a Microsoft thing or specifically from your university?
