Actually, Argentine ID cards are just that stuffty. The card is real.

That ID photoshopping was hilarious.

You can even see how some of the letters in Carlota are exactly the same as some of those in other words.

his blurring of the barcode was pretty ineffective

having that little strip down the bottom still means the barcode can be reconstructed lol. they're only straight lines.

"profile pictures"

coincidence? no.

Maybe because, I don't know, they use a font? Do you think they pay some opie with a pen to write out everyones name in bold blocky letters all day for the identification cards?

The reason there's improper leading and vertical centering is because they use some kind of mechanical printing press similar to a woodblock printer or typewriter. The price of a proper ID card printer is about the same as their national GDP.

Dude all the letters on there all look different in each word, except for the name and gender.

Also, look at the boxes behind the letters in Carlota.

That tends to happen with processes like woodblock printing. Not every piece is created exactly the same, which leads to weird looking fonts. I don't think you realize that this ID card wasn't created using a modern printer. This is what printed documents looked like before offset printers were invented.

the darker background behind the F bugs me though

and the darker background/lighter outline box around carlota

Image - Has a watermark with my ID number on it.
only blur/block out the watermark and show the rest of the pic of you.

also Trinick, I'm pretty sure it seems shopped considering the fact the two specific pieces of information we wanted from it just so happen to have the weird boxes and nothing else.

Except that this is not a conventional barcode, it seems to just be a extended QR Code- it's not a lines everywhere barcode under that mask.
