Perhaps this will help
  • Click the speaker at the top of the speakers icon on your toolbar.
  • Go to the Enhancements tab
  • Enable Loudness Equalization (this makes it so that the computer edits the volume, making it louder when quiet sounds are playing, and quiet when really loud sounds are playing.

That would be a good fix if it didn't mess up a lot of things.

that helps but the problem is that sounds are distorted when played up very close

Tell me how loud the alarm emote sounds when in first person compared to third person.

Loudness Equalization does absolutely nothing for me.
I cant even apply it.

I just tried alarm in first and third person and it almost doesn't change in volume.
It's only slightly louder in first person then third, and even then it's not to loud.

I remember when I used to play on my mac though it would be so loud that it would mess up the speakers playing it in first person.
